“The SHlZUO album sets a new standard for our label,” says label founder Alec Empire. Some tracks take DHR's punk nihilism to new levels, (“Punks,” Emptiness”). But Empire's statement refers to the fact that the record manages to be DHR’s rawest and noisiest release and its sexiest (the classic “Sweat”, the teen lust anthem “New Kind of Kick”, and the perved out “Blondo” are examples). It is enough to say that SHlZUO vs. SHIZOR's sense of kicks and innovation is undeniable and inspiring.
